Under the patronage of H. E. Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Chancellor of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) United Arab Emirates, in the period 21-23 November 2005, UAEU’s College of Business and Economics (CBE) in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates, jointly co-organised WASD 3rd Sustainability International Conference entitled “Globalization, Technology and Sustainable Development”. The aim of the conference is the roles and effects globalisation and technology have had in sustainable development. The highlights of the conference touched on corruption, foreign direct investments in least-developed countries, innovation, and even measuring sustainable development.
