WASD is very grateful and appreciate the full support provided by Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), London – United Kingdom to the different activities and event organised by WASD. On 13th October 2022, QMUL hosted WASD 20th International Sustainability Conference entitled “Transforming Universities: Making an Impact on the Implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda”. The conference brought together Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) (universities, colleges and research institutes), societies (academic/professional) and individuals from across the world in a global forum to collaborate and reconnect with the discourse of Sustainable Development (SD). The conference represented a golden opportunity for selected universities, colleges and research institutions that have played, and continue to play, a key role in transforming their teaching and research for the implementation of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
WASD and QMUL’s Executive Education unit runs regular capacity building and training courses and workshops on the key factors that are influencing human development and capacity building, that are essential for transforming countries across the world to advanced, knowledge-based societies led by sustainable innovation and social advance.
