University of Science and Technology of China (China)

The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) is a prominent university in China and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide. It was established by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 1958 in Beijing, as a strategic action by the Chinese government, to meet China’s science and technology needs and increases the country’s international competitiveness.

As one of the "211 Project" and "985 Project"universities in China, USTC was selected into the first batch of world-class universities and world-class discipline construction universities in September 2017, and a total of 11 disciplines were selected into the list of world-class discipline construction. Over the past 60 years since its establishment, the university has trained a large number of excellent talents with both political integrity and talent, achieved a series of remarkable scientific research achievements, and made important contributions to the development of the country.
