Ms. Sumita Dixit works as Technical Officer at Food Toxicology Division of Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow, India. She holds a post-graduate degree in Ecology and Environment from the Sikkim Manipal University, Sikkim, India. Her MSc Dissertation was in the area of “Surveillance of Pesticide Residues in Food Products”. She has developed expertise in the monitoring and surveillance of food additives, adulterants and contaminants for over two decades. She has extensively participated in Public Awareness and Scientific Knowledge Dissemination Programmes. She was associated with several research projects sponsored by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR); World Health Organisation (WHO)-Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS); Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MFPI), Govt. of India and has published 8 papers in National and International Journals.
