Dr. Sultanul chowdhury
Sultanul Chowdhury is the Lecturer in Marketing at University of Hull Business School, recently ranked 1st in the UK for student satisfaction (National Student Satisfaction Survey, 2014). His role includes supervising PhD students, chairing and examining PhD students as well as teaching in postgraduate and undergraduate programmes. He is the programme director for MSc in Healthcare Management and Module manager of – Strategic Marketing Planning Module, MSc International Marketing. Sultanul has more than 15 years of research and teaching experience in the UK Universities and associate lecturer of some of the most prestigious business schools in the north of England, including Durham University Business School, Leeds University Business School, and Bradford University School of Management. Before joining University of Hull, Sultanul worked as a Research Assistant at Bradford University School of Management. He has completed a range of projects that were generously supported by national and international organizations. His research interests include tourism marketing, disability marketing, social marketing, cross-cultural marketing, online/social media marketing and succession planning in minority ethnic businesses. Currently, Sultanul is working on research projects, such as- exploring destination image of Holy cities in KSA; Deconstructing racism in contemporary British ads; Mapping perceptions of child abuse by the British public. He is actively involved in consultancy projects ranging from micro businesses to large MNCs in Europe, USA and in the Middle East. His latest consultancy project is- reengineering the business process and devising a comprehensive marketing plan for the biggest Asian Bakery in the Europe.
