Dr. Mohamed Elmahdi

Mohamed Elmahdi, graduated from university of Stuttgart with a Diplom Ingenieur degree in the aeronautical engineering (equivalent to MSc in the anglo-american system). Then, Mohamed had started his research work at the Institute of Aircraft Systems. In 2015 he earned the degree of Doctor in Engineering Sciences (Dr.-Ing.) at the university of Stuttgart. The basis for his doctoral thesis was a joint research project with Airbus and Diehl Aerospace, in which he has designed and verified several possible fly-by-wire architectures of the flight control system for the next generation of the Airbus A320. As a postdoc, he continued researching in the field of integrated, modular avionics aiming at developing of future aircraft system architectures, the so-called system of integrated systems. In parallel to his research activities, Mohamed had been in charge of teaching the subjects: Aircraft Systems, Integrated Modular Avionics, and Complex Avionics Systems at graduate and undergraduate level in the Aeronautical Engineering Department of university of Stuttgart. Now, he is employed as a technical Project Manager for developing the Cabin Pressure Control System of the MA700 aircraft at UTC Aerospace Systems in Frankfurt, Germany.
