Dr. Moawia Elfaki Yahia
Dr. Moawia Elfaki Yahia received his B.Sc and M.Sc in computer science from the University of Khartoum in 1989, 1995, and his PhD degree in Artificial Intelligence from Putra University, Malaysia in 1999. Currently, he is on leave from the University of Khartoum to work as an Associate Professor of computer science at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Yahia is working as a member of editorial board and reviewer of some journals and as program committee for some refereed conferences in computer science. He is a Member of ACM: Association for Computing Machinery, ACM SIG on Artificial Intelligence, ACM SIG on Knowledge Discovery in Data, International Steering Committee of Arabic Computer Society, and International Rough Sets Society. Dr. Yahia received TWAS award for Young Scientists in Developing Countries in 2006. He published over 25 articles in international journals and proceedings. He is the author of two Arabic textbooks: Analysis and Design of Algorithms and Foundation of Database Systems published by Sudan Open University Press. His research interests are intelligent hybrid systems, data mining, neural networks, rough set theory, and information retrieval.
