Dr. Larry Hulbert
My background and training is in medical and health professions education. In addition to teaching at three medical schools in the US, I served as a consultant to the World Health Organization for 35 years with 16 consulting assignments in Africa and Southeast Asia. During this span, I designed and conducted medical education workshops, seminars and fellowship programs that reached nearly 800 faculty on six continents. My life purpose is to improve basic health care through improving educational training programs for medical and health professionals. Among my most satisfying experiences, I served as lead consultant in helping create Nepal’s first medical school and helped establish a network of WHO supported Regional and National Centers of Excellence in Medical Education in Africa and SE Asia. My specific areas of interest and experience include leadership training, curriculum development and innovative program development in health care.
