Mr José-Ignacio ALCORTA is Technical Group Manager at the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) with over 20 years’ experience in standards development. He joined ISO in October 2011 where the manages a team of experienced Technical Programme Managers in the sectors of Healthcare, Services, Quality, Energy, Environment and Management Systems. He is also responsible for the Coordination of technical work in the areas of Climate Change and Sustainability, and the coordination of technical communications within the ISO Central Secretariat. Prior to ISO, José worked at the British Standards Institution (BSI) in the United Kingdom from 2001 to 2011 where he held the role of Team Leader in the Governance and Resilience Department as well as holding the Secretariat of high profile ISO committees. Before BSI, he worked as Project Manager at Requisite Technologies, an eContent Solutions specialized company.
