Dr. Gandhi Pawitan
Gandhi Pawitan is currently led the Indonesian National Team for the entrepreneurship research with the GEM consortium, Global Entrepreneurship Research Association (http://www.gemconsortium.org/). He is member of Faculty of Social and Political Science, Parahyangan Catholic University, and Head of Master of Development Studies. His is lecturer in the field of social statistics, quantitative methods, and research methods. Gandhi was awarded the Australian Endeavour Award in 1996 to take a Ph.D. in Statistics at Wollongong University, Australia that was completed in 2001. His research was particularly focus on analyzing census and survey data by using spatial analysis. Gandhi received the Indonesian Research Fellowship from Endeavour in 2007. The fellowship brought him a joint research at the Centre for Statistical and Survey Methodology, University of Wollongong, Australia. He is involved in research of methodology development in analyzing survey or census data. Gandhi received the Competitive Research Grant from Indonesian Higher Education Directorate for research in “Mapping of performance of small and medium Manufacturing Industry in the era of ACFTA at the West Java province” (2010). Further, the research grant from the Indonesian Higher Education in 2018 also awarded for conducting joint research and publication with Vietnam National University. Gandhi’s current publication mostly in the field of entrepreneurship research and economics development.
