Antoni Oliva started working at the Catalan Institute of Technology where he became director of the ‘Digital City’ projects for local development. Since 2002 he works as a freelance consultant and researcher around sustainable development issues with a systems thinking and systems dynamics approach. These are some of the major projects he has been involved in: Sustainable Strategy for regions and cities in Spain, Sustainability rapports, European project INSURE (Indicators of Regional Sustainability) (SIXTH FRAMEWORK PROGRAMME), Energy prospective in Catalonia for the year 2030, General Secretary of 22@Network, (http://www.22network.net/) a private association for the consolidation of the 22@ Innovation district in Barcelona. He is author or coauthor of several books about sustainability. He has also written articles and has given lectures about systems thinking and local sustainable development. He co-founded 22sistema a company of sustainbility services and NOUTEC an association for teaching systems thinking in schools.
